Applications Accepted for 2022-2023 Class of South GeorgiaLEADS

Embedding leadership development within the region is a cornerstone principle of South GeorgiaLEADS. An eight-month professional development program, South GeorgiaLEADS seeks to create networking and community awareness opportunities for leaders representing the region’s professional, civic, nonprofit, and educational organizations.

South GeorgiaLEADS provides an innovative and engaging environment to discuss challenges that impact the region, with programs focused on topics of importance to the region’s future growth and success.

Class members will visit communities throughout the South Georgia region and examine various critical issues, including workforce development, education, and economic growth.

The leadership program was developed in 2015 in partnership with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the University of Georgia J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development, and Locate South Georgia.
