Voted the \u201cPrettiest Courthouse in Georgia,\u201d the historic courthouse stands prominently in the picturesque downtown district, including historical sites, public green space for relaxing, and an abundance of boutiques, gifts shops, antiques, and home furnishing shops.<\/p>\n

Downtown Moultrie’s<\/a> locally-owned small businesses include Charlsie Blue<\/a>, Blue Willow Boutique,<\/a> The Flossy Peach<\/a>, Forever Southern Boutique<\/a>, Hallie’s Place<\/a>, Cranford Jewelry Store,<\/a> Dustmade<\/a>, Everything Special and More<\/a>, Main Street Galleria<\/a>, Market on the Square<\/a>, and Sid’s Antiques & Gift.<\/a><\/p>\n

Located outside the downtown area is Tallokas Road<\/a>, a gift, garden, and home store filled with those hard-to-find, ordinary gifts for family and friends. While on Tallokas Road, stop by Joe Kem’s Market,<\/a> where a large selection of Georgia Grown products are available, along with tasty grab-and-go barbecue to enjoy as you continue your Moultrie adventure.<\/p>\n

Downtown Moultrie<\/a> has a wide choice of eateries, including Three Crazy Bakers<\/a>, Blue Sky Grill<\/a>, Hometown Bar & Grill<\/a>, Moultrie Billiard Parlor<\/a>, The Square<\/a>, and T Hall’s<\/a>, just to name a few.<\/p>\n

If you need an early morning jolt or afternoon pick-me-up, Beans and Strings<\/a> offers an assortment of hot and cold drinks. Mama D’s Sweet Shop<\/a> will help you satisfy that sweet tooth. Almond cake with raspberry filling, caramel pecan pound cake, and don’t forget banana pudding, a southern favorite. Mama D’s also has plenty of quick breakfast and lunch items on the menu.<\/p>\n

\"\"Venture outside the downtown area to JoJo’s Simply Eats<\/a> or Dalton’s<\/a> for some southern comfort favorites. If you’re craving authentic Mexican dishes, Armando’s Tacos & Grill<\/a> and Margarita’s Tex-Mex Bar & Grill<\/a> are top choices.<\/p>\n

For outdoorists, Moultrie and Colquitt County is a hunting paradise with several locations, including Ashburn Hill Plantation,<\/a> Boggy Pond Plantation,<\/a> and Sundown Farms Plantation.<\/a><\/p>\n

Tucked away in the former Moultrie High School building, the Colquitt County Arts Center<\/a> is a landmark for the artistic community. From an Elvis Tribute Concert to Open Mic Night and a Splash Paint and Sip workshop, the arts center sponsors creative and entertaining shows and events to pique the interest of residents and visitors to Moultrie. Housing special collections, the galleries also host a rotation of displays showcasing local, regional, and world-renowned exhibits throughout the year.<\/p>\n

After a day of exploring, make plans to relax at Gin Creek<\/a>, the local vineyard, which offers wine tasting by appointment.<\/p>\n

When a day trip is not enough, travel down a magnolia- and oak-lined street and discover the Barber-Tucker House.<\/a> Just a few blocks from the downtown district, this historic bed and breakfast is filled with antiques and fine linens.
