Wiregrass Georgia Technical College recently announced an enrollment increase for the spring semester, up 6.8% from the previous year, marking four straight semesters with an enrollment increase.
“We are excited to see these increases and are preparing now for continued increase in the number of students,” said Wiregrass President DeAnnia Clements. “We are consistently looking to see what other programs we can extend to other campuses to meet the demand.”
Wiregrass offers businesses and industries a variety of workforce solutions, including the recently developed Associate of Applied Science in Industry 4.0 Technology. The program blends Computer Information Systems with Mechatronics, teaching skills in mechatronics, computer networking, database applications, manufacturing, and automation. The program prepares graduates as technicians and specialists in Industry 4.0 technologies like cyber-physical systems.
The college has also sought ways to make the enrollment process seamless. The recently implemented One-Stop Enrollment and Success Center combines admissions, advising, and registration into one department. The number of applications received increased by 35% for the spring 2023 semester compared to the previous year.
During March, Wiregrass will waive application fees. Visit www.wiregrass.edu to learn more about the programs Wiregrass offers.
